CASTLE
Rehabilitation of the Castle of Hostalric
The project recuperates the main building of the castle and its environment of strong medieval times. It preserves, restores and powers the diferents architectonic, histortic and cultural elements and also the patrimonial value of the castle of Hostalric cleaning the elements that are not vinculated to the castle.
The project is solved by a clear operation: a series of concrete thick walls and masses will house the circulations for the castle. In this way, the operation doesn’t compete with the castle and its value. It’s just a surgical operation leaving and respecting the volumetry of the rooms and the exterior.
