Exposition display for COAC Comarques de Girona Prizes
Three canvas rolls unfold over ten steel trestles specially designed to reveal the architectural projects. They are unveiled for the first time once the awards have been presented, and remain on display throughout their itinerant exhibitions. We pushed the competition requirements to the limit: easy to assemble, transportable, waterproof, and functional. We also incorporated other values that are important to us, such as economy, adaptability, and the reuse of elements.
This series of self-imposed constraints expanded the project’s creative possibilities.
We thought about the moment of the opening. We wanted to create anticipation, understanding that moment as a poetic instant. We imagined the process an architect goes through to arrive at the exhibited project, and conceived these canvases as rolls of tracing paper, where the author begins drawing from the earliest sketches to the carpentry details.
